Split fromhithanks for the reply. Unfortunately this did not work, nor did any other attempts so far.

The ' ' shows 4 files, the one that should be appropriate for my system (2018-01 Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4058702) ) displays a message 'The update isnot applicable to your computer', while other that i tried (2018-01 Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x86-based Systems (KB4058702) ) does not in fact link to a downloadable file.My windows 1703 has repeatedly failed to update, maybe 10 times by now. Each cycle takes multiple hours of checking, preparing, downloading, installing and then recovering. This is absurd and looks amateurish.Tomasz.Moved from: Windows / Windows 10 / Windows update, recovery, & backup. Thanks for your reply.

It did not help. I tried installing from a bootable USB, which in fact is not a good advice as the installer after booting from the USB informs that the upgrade option is available only when launched from windows. I have so far spendin excess of a week of continuous operation on attempting to upgrade past 1703. This time the error is: 0x8007001F - 0x3000D.
